There’s a quiet knowing, a whisper from deep within, guiding me toward purpose. I’ve always felt a profound connection to the ocean—its endless beauty, its raw power, its soulful essence. Growing up by the sea, it became woven into my very being, a constant source of inspiration and wonder.

The Spark of an Idea

One day, during a peaceful walk, the name Oceanseen just surfaced in my mind. At first, I hesitated—wondering if it was the right fit. But there was a gentle certainty, an inner voice that kept nudging me. Slowly, that name grew on me, resonating with a deep, unwavering truth. It felt like a calling—a signal that I was on the right path.

From Passion to Purpose

I started dreaming big: interior design, inspired by the soothing hues of the sea and the rustic charm of driftwood. I envisioned light, airy spaces filled with natural wooden furniture that carried the spirit of the coast. But as I explored further, I saw a harsh reality —furniture that’s mass-produced, poorly made, and wastefully cheap. It saddened me. That’s the world we live in right now—where quality and sustainability often seem worlds apart.

A Glimmer of Hope

Yet, amidst the disappointment, I discovered something beautiful: a thriving world of eco-friendly furniture and products made with love and integrity. The catch? They’re often out of reach financially. Naturally. But what truly lit me up was seeing the incredible brands and artisans—women, Canadians—pouring their hearts into creating sustainable, meaningful pieces. Their passion gave me hope. It showed me that change is possible, and that small, conscious choices matter.

A New Vision

That deep, intuitive voice whispered again: I want to support these passionate, small-scale businesses. I want to create something meaningful—something that merges my love for the ocean with my desire to make a difference. So, I envisioned eco-friendly, ocean-themed gift bundles—thoughtfully curated, beautifully made, and rich with intention. A portion of each sale would go directly toward ocean conservation efforts in BC. That’s the heartbeat of Oceanseen. It just feels right.
